Early Saturday morning, a gas barbecue exploded at the BIG4 holiday park in Lake Conjola on New South Wales’ south coast, sending four people to hospital. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 7:30 am.
Paramedics treated five people at the site, including two children. The children and two adults a man and a woman in their 30s were transported to nearby hospitals. The adults sustained moderate injuries but were reported to be in stable condition, while the children suffered minor injuries. One other person received on-site treatment and did not require hospital care.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
