Drivers in Western Sydney are dealing with major delays today as emergency crews respond to several crashes and a truck fire across three of the city’s busiest roads.
A truck caught fire on the M7 at Eastern Creek, leading to a full closure of all southbound lanes.
The driver, a man in his 50s, was able to get out before emergency services arrived just after 5am. He’s being treated for minor injuries.
Drivers are being warned to expect significant delays and are urged to steer clear of the area.
Southbound motorists already on the M7 can exit via the Great Western Highway and take Wallgrove Road instead.
Those coming from the M4 and heading south on the M7 are also being directed to use Wallgrove Road as an alternate route.
There’s also a three-car crash causing delays on the M4 westbound near Prospect, along with another truck fire on the Great Western Highway at Eastern Creek.
