**Cherri Radio Membership Policy**
Purpose
This policy outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and rights of members who volunteer at Cherri Radio. It ensures a positive, respectful, and creative environment for all.
Membership Eligibility
- Membership is open to anyone passionate about radio, music, and community engagement.
- All membership roles are volunteer positions; no paid employment is offered through membership.
Membership Responsibilities
- Members agree to contribute their time, skills, and energy in a respectful and cooperative way.
- Members must follow Cherri Radio’s guidelines regarding content creation, conduct, and scheduling.
- Members should communicate promptly with station management about availability, changes, or issues.
Code of Conduct
- Members are expected to conduct themselves with respect and professionalism at all times, including during public appearances, events, and interactions within business environments.
- Discrimination, harassment, bullying or any behaviour that undermines the inclusive nature of Cherri Radio will not be tolerated and will be terminated from the network.
- Members are expected to follow relevant Australian laws and adhere to Cherri Radio’s content and community standards, which align with best practices in responsible broadcasting.
Content Standards
- Content must be appropriate for our radio audience and comply with Cherri Radio broadcasting standards.
- Members should avoid offensive, defamatory, political, or illegal material.
- Cherri Radio reserves the right to review and remove any content that violates these standards.
Confidentiality and Privacy
- Members must respect the confidentiality of any sensitive station information.
- Personal data collected during membership is protected according to Cherri Radio’s Privacy Policy and not shared without consent.
Membership Review and Termination
- Membership may be reviewed periodically for participation and conduct.
- Cherri Radio reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for breaches of policy or conduct detrimental to the station or community.
Support and Development
- Cherri Radio encourages members to develop their skills and offers mentoring where possible.
- Members are encouraged to share feedback and ideas to help improve the station.
