Emergency services responded this evening to a single-vehicle collision after a car crashed into a power pole on Elizabeth Drive near Marum Street, coming to rest in the front yard of a nearby home. The incident occurred at approximately 7:12 pm.

NSW Police, Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Ambulance arrived shortly after the crash. The vehicle sustained extensive damage and the impact knocked the power pole down, leaving it leaning a few inches from the ground and hanged by the power lines that are still connected.

At this stage it remains uncertain what caused the crash and police have begun making inquiries to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident.

No further information about the driver’s condition has been released.

Traffic along Elizabeth Drive was partially merge into 1 lane causing heavy traffic in Northbound direction as emergency services clear the area.
