Several people have been injured after a school bus rolled over this morning northwest of Geelong in Victoria.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near Stonehaven on the Hamilton Highway just after 8:20am. Police have confirmed that multiple individuals are believed to have sustained serious injuries.
Paramedics on site are focusing on treating those involved, with no further details on the extent of injuries released at this stage. Authorities say more information will be shared when available.
The crash has led to major traffic disruptions, with the Hamilton Highway now closed in both directions between Geelong and Inverleigh.
Motorists are being diverted through alternate routes, including the Geelong Ring Road, Princes Highway, and Inverleigh-Winchelsea Road — adding nearly 30 kilometres to travel times.
The highway will remain shut until the scene is cleared and investigations are complete.
